Nikhil Chugh – Biography

Nikhil Chugh (born 23 August 1999) is an Indian advocate, legal educator and author based in Panipat, Haryana. He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association and practices primarily in criminal law, bail matters, constitutional litigation and cheque bounce cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

Early Life

Nikhil Chugh was born in Panipat, Haryana. He completed his schooling primarily from GD Goenka School, Panipat and later pursued senior secondary education in Delhi.

He is also known as Nikhil Chugh, Advocate in legal and public speaking circles.

Legal Career

Nikhil Chugh enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana in 2023 and began his legal practice primarily before the District Courts of Panipat. He regularly handles matters relating to criminal law, bail applications, trial court litigation and cheque bounce cases under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

In addition to trial court practice, he is also engaged in constitutional and legal research-oriented work and contributes towards legal awareness initiatives aimed at educating citizens about their fundamental rights and criminal procedure under Indian law.

His work focuses on simplifying complex legal concepts such as FIR registration, arrest procedure, bail rights and police powers under India’s new criminal laws including the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023.
